  • Visualise – spend time thinking about the job you’ve always dreamed of – what does it look like? Feel Like? Sound like? Where is it?
  • Do what you enjoy – if you don’t yet know what your dream job is, what do you enjoy? What do you think your strengths are? What do other people you respect think your strengths are? Use this to help you visualise what your dream job could entail for you
  • Turn your limiting/negative beliefs into empowering/positive beliefs and surround yourself with your affirmations in every day places – phone reminders, the fridge etc
  • What do you want to move towards as opposed to away from? Moving towards your goal will empower you with positive energy
  • Consider doing something completely different
  • What do you need to do to get the job you want as opposed to first coming up with reasons as to why it won’t be possible?
  • Be ambitious, challenge yourself and be realistic eg time, commitments and finance
  • Surround yourself with people who are supportive of your dreams. Get help/support from a coach/family/friends
  • Write down your goals/actions and review them regularly
  • Do something now, no matter how small. It will be one step forward to where you want to be. The experience can be exhilarating as you are conscious of completing an action in the knowledge that it is taking you closer to achieving your goal
